First time setup guide

MOSTLY NOT NEEDED SINCE WE WILL DO IT WHEN WE SEND OUT THE DEVICE.

1. Starting the Device
Connect the device to a power source.

2. Entering the Menu
Press the hamburger menu icon (three lines) on the right side.


3. Personalize

Open the Personalize submenu and apply the following settings:

3.1 User Interface
Open User Interface
Set:

  • Main Screen Style → Style 2

3.2 Voice
Open Voice
Optional:

  • Turn off device sounds

3.3 Punch State Options
Open Punch State Options
Set:

Punch State Mode according to your needs:

Mode

Description

Manual Mode

User manually selects start and end of working time

Auto Mode

Device automatically detects start/end (If working time is started then device sends out END request.)

Manual and Auto Mode

If a session is already active and “start” is pressed, the previous one ends and a new one begins

Manual Fixed Mode

Not used

Fixed Mode

Only “start” or “end” can be selected

⚠️ Note!

  • Punch State Required must be ON


4. User Role

Open the User Role submenu:

Define User Role

Set what a regular user (not SUPERADMIN) can see and modify:

  • User Management

    • All users

  • Comm

    • Ethernet

    • WiFi settings

    • Cloud server settings

  • System

    • Attendance

  • Personalize

    • User interface

    • Voice

    • Punch state options

  • Access Control

    • Time schedule

    • Access control options

  • Work Code

    • New work code

    • All work codes

    • Work code options

  • System Info

    • Device capacity

    • Device info

    • Firmware


5. Comm (Connections)

Open the Comm submenu and configure the following:

5.1 Ethernet
Enable:

  • DHCP

5.2 WiFi Settings
Connect the device to a WiFi network
(if not using a cable)

5.3 Cloud Server Settings
Enable:

  • Enable Domain Name

Enter:

  • Server Address → device.wemply.com


6. System

Open the System submenu:

Device Type Settings
Make sure:

  • Protocol → PUSH

  • Type → T&A
