Where to find the timer
Look for the ▷ button at the top of the screen:
On your phone, it’s in the middle.
On a computer, it’s in the top right corner, next to the bell.
The button shows you what the timer is doing:
▷ means the timer is not running.
🟢 A green dot with the time means the timer is running.
⚪ A grey dot means the timer is paused.
If you don’t see the button, you don’t have access to the timer. Please ask your manager.
Starting the timer
Tap ▷.
If you’re asked for an object or work type, choose them and tap “Save”.
The timer starts counting.
Good to know
The app may ask for permission to use your location. Wemply can then pick the right object for you.
Times are rounded to the nearest minute.
If you see the message “Location is missing or does not match with location of any active object…”, the timer is still running. Your manager will just need to approve this working time later.
On your phone
Tap the running timer. The timer page opens. Here you can add details about your work, such as the object, work type or a description. Anything you enter is saved right away.
At the bottom of the page you’ll find these buttons:
“Stop” ends your work and saves the working time.
“Stop and start new” saves the current working time and starts a new one right away.
“Pause” pauses the timer. To continue working, tap ▷ again. Your pause time is recorded as a lunch break. This button is only available in some companies.
“Delete” deletes the timer, and no working time is saved.
On a computer
Click the running timer. A window opens where you can add details about your work. Then click “Stop”, “Stop and start new” or “Delete”.
Please note
Your details are only saved when you click “Stop”. If you close the window before that, the timer keeps running, but the details you entered are lost.
There is no pause button on a computer. You can pause the timer on your phone.
If you change the start or end time
If you’re allowed to change times, you’ll also see the start and end time in the window. If you change them, Wemply asks you to confirm before saving. After that, the working time is no longer marked as recorded with the timer.
If you changed the end time, “Stop and start new” won’t work. In that case, just click “Stop”.
After you stop
Your working time appears in the “My last working times” table.
Forgot to stop the timer?
The timer won’t run forever. It usually stops after 16 hours, but your company may have set a different time. Let your manager know so they can correct your working time.
