Wemply allows you to send various notifications to both employees and managers, such as reminders or updates.
How to Set Up Notifications
Go to Settings > Notifications > Notification Settings.
Here, you will find pre-configured notifications that, by default, only appear in the Wemply user interface. However, they can also be extended to email. For example, when an employee is added as a participant in an event, they will receive a notification both in the interface and via email.
Notification Templates
Go to Settings > Notifications > Notification Templates
With notification templates, you can generate notifications according to your specific needs. Examples include reminders for expiring health check-ups, vacation start notifications, or notifications to managers about a direct report’s upcoming leave.
How to Add a New Notification Template
Click "Add"
Enter the name and select the associated unit
In this example, we are setting up a vacation start notification.
All absence-related units are categorized as Leave Requests.
Set the notification to be sent two weeks before the start date.
Define the sending method based on the date field:
Date field: Vacation start date
Days before: 14 (i.e., 2 weeks)
Filters are not required if you want notifications for all types of leave.
In this case, we will limit the notification to annual leave only:
Filter field 1: Leave type
Comparison: Must be equal to Annual Leave
In summary – The notification will only be sent if the leave type is Annual Leave.
The default recipient is the employee taking the leave.
To avoid manually entering recipients, the template will automatically assign the notification to the employee.
If needed, you can also configure notifications for accounting or the direct manager to receive updates whenever an employee submits or starts their leave. This can be done by using the two additional recipient fields in the notification settings.
You can define the content of the email according to your preferences and the notification template filters.
A simple message could be:
"Dear Employee! Your vacation starts soon!"Alternatively, you can use Template fields to automatically populate the message with specific leave details.
Select Template Field and choose the corresponding input from the list.
For example, {{1}} represents the start date.
A message like "Dear Employee! Your vacation starts on {{1}}." will automatically display the actual vacation start date.
